Can I change my username?
No. To change your username you need to delete your current account and then sign up again using your new username.

How do I change my email address and password?
To change your account info you must log in and click 'Account Info' from the menu. Here you can type in the new email address in the email field. Just remember that a new password will be generated when you enter a new email address. The password will be sent to the new email address. When you change your password it will be saved and changed at once.

What is the Affiliate Exchange?
Affiliate Exchange is an opportunity for members to interact/exchange signups with each other. Members can offer credits to other members for signing up with different programs. Select the Link "Affiliate Exchange" from the members area to set up your affiliate exchange.

How do I add a banner to my account?
i-Autosurf.com does not host member banners due to the bandwidth costs involved.

You must have a website/host to post your banner to, or select an affiliate program that host their own banners.

To add a new banner to your account:

1) Click on "My Banners"

2) Add new banner

3) Add the graphic url where the banner is hosted eg. http://www.myserver.com/banner5.gif

4) Add the url that you want to send traffic to eg. http://www.mysite.com/specialpromo.html

5) When saving, make sure the banner loads up in the field properly (can you see it?)

6) Click on your banner to make sure it links to the right URL that you want to send traffic to

How many banners can I have on my account?
Members can add multiple banners to their account, each with full clickthrough percentage reporting to see how each banner is performing.

FAQ - Getting started

I keep getting logged out for each page, why?

Sounds like you don't have cookies enabled. If you are asked to log in again for each link you click after you logged in the first time, you probably have cookies turned off or block them

If cookies aren't working we can't keep track of whether you are logged in or not. Please turn on cookies in your browser.

How come my credits don't show after I have surfed?

Many users have auto assigned 100% of credits earned. This means that all credits earned are added to your sites and not your unused credits pool.

To add credits to unused change the auto assign weight on your sites on the 'Assign credits' page.

If you have weighted a total of 75%, 0.25 of each credit earned are added to unused credits and the rest, 0.75 credits are added to your site(s).

Mystery credits are also auto assigned the same way as credits. If you have 100% auto assigned no unused credits will be added.

I have problems surfing for credits, what can I do to solve the problem?

Here is a list of things that solve most surf problems.

1: Clear your browser cache. Usually errors are stored and will be shown again even if it's no longer valid due to browser cache.

2: Try setting your cache to load the page each time you view it.

For IE :

To change the setting click Tools->Internett options from the menu in IE. You will then see a window with settings. Click the 'Settings...' button under temporary internet files. When the new window opens, check the 'Every visit to the page' under 'Check for new version'.

3: Try restarting the browser and then clear the browser cache.

4: Make sure you allow cookies from our domain. Turn off any privacy programs, or add our domain to your accepted list. They have been know to cause some problems for users.

5: If you use a proxy try to allow our domain without going through the proxy.

For IE: To change the setting click Tools->Internet options from the menu in IE. You will then see a window with settings. Click the 'Connections' tab. Then click the 'Advanced..' button under proxy server. When the new window opens, add our domain in the exceptions ruleset. Then save.

6: Go to Tools->Internet Options from the menu in IE. In the window click the 'Security' tab. Click the 'TrustedSites' icon. Then click the 'Sites' button and add our domain as a trusted site webmasterquest.com. Click add and then ok.

How do I change my email address and password?

How can I earn credits?

The easiest way to earn credits is to surf for them. To surf for credits you need to log in and click the big "Start Surfing 1:1" in the member menu.

You will then start seeing pages and the surfbar.

Once the surfbar counter has gone down from 20 and shows a go, click the correct image as stated on the surfbar.

Once you see the next page you will get a message on how many credits you earned for the last page view.

What are Hotlinks?

Hotlinks are just like banners. They are shown in the same way, the difference being that they are textlinks and not images.

How do I get hotlink credits?

When you are surfing for traffic you earn 1 hotlink credit for each page you visit.

You can also convert usual surfing credits to hotlink credits on the hotlink admin page. Under 'My hotlinks' after you have logged in.

What are credits?

1 credit is that same as one visitor to your site. For each credit you earn you can exchange it for one visitor to your page. Note: targeted traffic can cost a little more per visit.

How does the surfbar work?

When you start surfing you will see the surfbar in top of the window. The surfbar will show different images or links where you need to click in order to confirm your visit.

When the counter has reached zero and showing a green GO text, click the number that is stated on the surfbar.

Why do I have to wait 20 seconds for each credit?

To make sure that everyone has a good chance to look at your site, the surf countdown is set at 20 seconds.

How do I add a site description?
On the 'My sites' page, click on edit next to the page you want to add a site description. In the edit form you will see the description field in the form, just type in a description there to add it to your site. On new sites the description form is shown when you add the sites info.

What happens if I delete a site?
When you delete a site the site will be removed from our site and the credits left assigned to it are returned to your unused credits. The site can not be restored once you have deleted it.

What is the i-Autosurf.com spam policy?
Spam is strictly prohibited and will result in your account being deleted immediately. Any email sent to a person who did not ask for any information is considered spam. The only acceptable use is to use the URL in a signature in an email as long as the signature isn't to big, like more than 1 link and description. We all know how annoying spam is. Don't contribute to the number of spam emails sent each day!

I cannot log in! When I try I just end up at the login screen again with no message about my password being incorrect or anything. What is wrong?
Most likely, your browser or perhaps internet security software is blocking Session Cookies. But session cookies are absolutely needed for almost all websites that allow logging in to function. You will need to change your settings to allow Session Cookies.

Hey! Pop-ups, pop-unders and Exit-Pops etc. are vital marketing tools I use! I want to use but I DON'T want to stop using these tools just to do so! What can I do?
You can make a separate 'doorway' page on your site so you can meet our conditions without harming your existing pop-up tools. Submit your doorway page that get people's attention and provide a link to "Open page in new window."

I've seen hundreds of sites but I never see MY sites show up in the autosurf session! What's the deal?
Excellent observation! That's exactly correct! Your own site will not be shown to you, only to others. Showing your own website to you would be wasting your credits. You can view statistics showing the number of hits (times your site has been viewed) in the My Account section.

My account appears to have been deleted! Why?
There are only two reasons an account would be deleted.

a) You asked for it to be deleted.

b) The email address recorded with the account is invalid, or auto-responds with a canned message and is never responded to by the real owner.

The latter, b), generally only results in deletion if we have attempted to contact you at the email address in question but have not been able to raise a response within a reasonable time frame (perhaps a week or so).

Please feel free to create a new free account if you think this has occurred. Please use an email address that you will respond to if needed and which does not use an autoresponder.
